Corrections come first

If a price on this site is wrong or out of date, that is the most useful email we can get, and it goes to the front of the queue. These services change their pricing without announcing it, and we would rather hear it from you than find out in six months. Point us at the page and what it says now. We will check it at the source, fix it, and update the date on the article.

Things worth sending

  • A price that moved, or a service that changed what it includes.
  • A state rule we got wrong, ideally with the statute or case.
  • A service we have not covered that you think deserves a look.
  • What it actually cost you, and what you wish you had known first.
  • Press and permissions.

The one thing we cannot do

We cannot tell you whether your agreement is valid, whether you should sign it, or what to put in it. Not because we are being cagey. Because we are not lawyers, we are not your lawyer, and a stranger who has not read your documents or your state's case law has no business answering that question. Anyone who answers it in an email is doing you harm.

If that is your question, you want a family-law attorney licensed in your state. Your state bar runs a referral service, and many offer a consultation for a modest flat fee. That is the right thirty minutes to spend.
