How this site makes money

Honestly, and in a way you can check. The short version is on the about page; here is the detail.

PrenupDesk earns through referral links. When we point you to an online service and you sign up, that company may pay us a small commission. It costs you nothing extra, the price is the same as if you had found them yourself, and that is the entire business model. There is no paywall, no membership, and no sponsor deciding what gets written.

The two things we will not do

We run no display advertising, anywhere, ever. No banners, no pop-ups, no tracking pixels sold to an ad network. On a subject where you are trying to make a careful decision about money, an ad-cluttered page is its own kind of dishonesty, and we would rather do without.

We do not change a recommendation for what it pays. The honest version of this site says an online prenup is fine for a lot of couples, which is the cheaper product and the smaller commission, and it says pay a lawyer when your situation calls for it, which pays us nothing at all. A recommendation that always points at the best-paying option is worthless, and so is the trust behind it.

Where the referral links go

The main one is the online-prenup service we compare against hiring a lawyer, currently HelloPrenup . Every referral link on the site is marked in its code with rel="nofollow sponsored noopener", which is the honest signal to search engines and the browser that the link is sponsored. You will always be able to tell, and we tell you before the first one on any page that has them.

We only earn if the service is genuinely the right call for you. If the cheaper route or no product at all is the honest answer, that is what the writing says, and the quiz will tell you no when the answer is no.
