Privacy

The short version: this site barely knows you were here, and it likes it that way.

PrenupDesk is a static site. There are no accounts to create, no comments to post, and no mailing list to join, so there is no place for your personal details to be entered and nothing for us to sell or share. The calculators run entirely in your browser. When you type your state and your finances into the estimator, none of it is sent to us or to anyone else. It is worked out on your own device and forgotten when you close the tab.

What we do measure

We would like to know which articles get read, so we can write more of what helps and retire what does not. Two tools do that, and they work very differently on your privacy.

Google Analytics, consent-based where it needs to be

This site also uses Google Analytics 4 for a fuller read of how it is used. Unlike the Cloudflare tool, it sets a cookie and a random identifier, so we treat it as consent-based and gate it by region:

  • In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland it stays off until you choose Accept on the banner. No cookie and no identifier are set unless you opt in.
  • Everywhere else it is on by default, which is what US state privacy laws allow for first-party analytics. You can switch it off below at any time, from any region, and the choice sticks.
  • Advertising and marketing signals are off everywhere, always. We run no ads, build no ad profiles, and do not sell data to anyone who does.

Your analytics choice

Change your mind whenever you like. This switches Google Analytics on or off across every page of the site, takes effect immediately, and is remembered in your browser rather than on our servers.

Outbound links

When you follow a link to a service we mention, you land on their site under their privacy policy, not ours. Some of those links are referral links, which are explained in full on the disclosure page. Following one tells that company you came from here. It tells us nothing about you personally.

Your data, and getting rid of it

Because we hold no account and no list, there is usually nothing of yours for us to delete. If you have emailed us and want that correspondence removed, say so and we will delete it. Questions and removal requests go to hello@prenupdesk.com.
